Founding
JPH Organization was founded by a group of families who came together with a shared desire to help support their community. In one way or another these families had all experienced times when they needed more community support, be it for themselves or for a loved one. They had navigated significant life interrupters such as mental health needs or emotional health needs without formal support or direction. This process felt isolating, overwhelming, confusing, and often, when extra services were needed, expensive and for some unattainable.
Ripple Effect
Word spread that the JPH team was trying to create equitable and affordable support for families. Holistic practitioners, the professional wellness community and mental health professionals became interested in the JPH community mission. These dedicated people joined the JPH teams and partner with JPH to create programming, provide further resources for families and help raise funding to develop the first JPH Center at Ferry Hill. The mission is certainly a mountain to climb and climb it they will with so many great professionals invested in the solution.
Into Action
Every invention started with an experiment and an individual or group that was willing to try it and dedicate their time to developing it. JPH is answering the call of so many families that just need a place to plug in when navigating situations and get resources, an encouraging conversation or a program that fits their needs. The simple feeling of belonging to a community can dispel the darkness that one feels in the isolation of complex family struggles. It should not be that difficult to receive support and feel connected to community support. JPH is working to bridge that gap.
